The first point that you will want to keep in mind is that you have to make sure that you prioritize. When you’re a new business owner there are always going to be a lot of things that will make demands on your time. That doesn’t mean that you have to answer everything all at once. Emil is probably the easiest example. You would probably get a lot more work done in your day if you weren’t checking email until a certain milestone in your project workflow was reached. This logic can be applied to instant messaging and phone calls too. You might not think about the time you spend on these tasks, but they can really eat through your day and leave you speechless!

The next point here is that if you really want to make sure that you are getting things done, you will want to delegate. A top cause of stress for many entrepreneurs is the fact that they feel that they have to do everything on their own without asking anyone for help. They don’t want to be seen as weak in comparison to their peers.

The final point here is that you will want to remain as flexible as possible. Business is unpredictable at times, and it definitely pays to make sure that you are flexible enough to make changes as they are needed.

It might seem odd to think about this in modern times, but there is a good chance that women might need a different stress management plan than men do. This is a question that tends to get debated a lot, because it is truly so highly charged. However, we don’t have to assume that the possibility that women need a different stress management plan than their male counterparts means that women are weaker than men.

Different doesn’t mean anything but different, and that’s the definition we’re going to go with here. You see, it is possible that some women do need to think about how to combat stress differently than men do. Everyone is different, and the things that men reach for might be different than the things that women reach for.

For example, many men come home from a stressful day at work and they want to immediately move to anything other than work-related activities. Even talking about work tends to not be on the menu at all. Contrast that with the story of many women — they want to talk about the entire day when they get home in fine detail, picking over each point as if it were the star of the show. As you can see, that’s definitely different than the way men handle their own stressful situations. Yet there really are times where talking about it can help matters, and lead to better stress management.

Whether you are a man or a woman it’s important to really make sure that you’re going to build a stress management plan that works for you and the unique situations that you deal with. There’s no reason to assume that just because you’re a woman you have to do everything different from a man. It’s okay to build something that works for you even if it’s just the same as what someone else uses. As long as it’s effective, who cares where it comes from — you just need to get started!

It’s said that the two constants in life are death and taxes, but they should have added a third constant: stress. Most of us have some level of stress in our lives, and this makes it difficult to really get through our days without some sort of fear that we’re not going to accomplish all of the things that we set out to do. You can break out of those thoughts by stepping back and narrowing down the cause of stress in your life.

You might have heard this advance before, but the problem here is that you might have just compared your life to someone else’s. You might have assumed that you will be able to just use someone else’s solutions in order to fix your life, and that’s really not the case at all. You will need to really think about what’s causing you so much stress and then removing those “roots” as best as you can.

For some, the primary cause of stress in their life might be a bad relationship that needs to be terminated in order to grow. For others, the cause of stressful feelings might center around being overwhelmed at work and feeling like they have no way to balance the load.

Both situations require a shift in perspective. The person in a bad relationship needs to either correct the problems of the relationship if they can, and if they can’t they need to break away from the relationship and simply move on. This is easier said than done, but that would be one way to cut down on the stress of life.

The person fighting a stressful work environment needs to see what they can do by following the established chain of command at work. If that doesn’t work, then they might need to think about looking for another job. That’s about the best thing that you can do in a case like this.
