Narrowing Down The Cause of Stress in Your Life

It’s said that the two constants in life are death and taxes, but they should have added a third constant: stress. Most of us have some level of stress in our lives, and this makes it difficult to really get through our days without some sort of fear that we’re not going to accomplish all of the things that we set out to do. You can break out of those thoughts by stepping back and narrowing down the cause of stress in your life.

You might have heard this advance before, but the problem here is that you might have just compared your life to someone else’s. You might have assumed that you will be able to just use someone else’s solutions in order to fix your life, and that’s really not the case at all. You will need to really think about what’s causing you so much stress and then removing those “roots” as best as you can.

For some, the primary cause of stress in their life might be a bad relationship that needs to be terminated in order to grow. For others, the cause of stressful feelings might center around being overwhelmed at work and feeling like they have no way to balance the load.

Both situations require a shift in perspective. The person in a bad relationship needs to either correct the problems of the relationship if they can, and if they can’t they need to break away from the relationship and simply move on. This is easier said than done, but that would be one way to cut down on the stress of life.

The person fighting a stressful work environment needs to see what they can do by following the established chain of command at work. If that doesn’t work, then they might need to think about looking for another job. That’s about the best thing that you can do in a case like this.

Overall, narrowing down the cause of stress in your life is really the gateway to a brighter future — try it and see for yourself!

The author is right about finding the roots of stress. I have experienced that finding the cause itself relieves stress because of our increased awareness. I took note of all the causes and wrote them. I realized that all of them are linked to a single trouble and actually, there is only one problem and not many! Then I wrote the solution and then and there I felt better. It really works. Write down and find the crux.

Stress is a part of life. The continuous competition in business, conflicts at work, personal life crisis, fear from the future – are all sources of stress. I agree with the author that high expectations from employer might frustrate the employee leading to stress. Any situation can be handled if one learns to handle stress efficiently.
